Various governmental agencies offer a Chaplaincy service to their staff and the general public do not easily have access to this service. Community Chaplaincy is different. We offer a non-denominational support service, manned 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, to anyone. The amazing thing is that it is free and every Chaplain has been carefully selected and screened, and recommended by their home churches.

Our chaplains are registered as Ecumenical Chaplains with the GSAH, and are all volunteers within the Pastoral Care Department of Griffith Base Hospital.

There are mainly two levels of Chaplains. Full chaplains are recognized by their two circle emblems on their shoulders and are all graduates, Ministers of Religion or other professionals with at least three years experience. In their field. Many times, people need an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes they try to make head or tail of a bad situation. We are there to help whatever the crisis, whatever the time, wherever you are.
